Equilibrium observations
Strong acid (HCl): fully dissociated → many H⁺, low pH.
Weak acid (CH₃COOH): partial dissociation → HA + H⁺ + Ac⁻ in micro view.
Neutralization: H⁺ + OH⁻ → H₂O, heat released, pH near 7.
Buffer: resists pH change when you add a little acid or base.
Common-ion: acetate + acetic acid shifts equilibrium left.
Carbonate + acid → CO₂ gas (Le Chatelier drives reaction).
Indicator: colour changes at specific pH range.
